Have you seen our HQ building lately?

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

In an earlier post, I showed you what our plan was for upgrading and renewing the look of our HQ building in Omaha.
I can report that the renewal project is coming along nicely and would invite you to drop by and take a look at all the changes!

So far:
1. New landscaping! It’s a little ragged looking after that early bad weather but it will be beautiful in the Spring!

2. New paint job for both buildings.

3. New red awnings on the windows. This really looks nice and will help up to save energy in the Summer by keeping the harsh Sun light out of our windows.

So all we need now is the new sign and the project will be complete. Drop by today and take a look at how we are changing.

The Building Plan

Last time I talked about the renovations that were taking place with the building so I thought you might like to see the artist concept of what it will look like when done.

A New Look for Johnson Hardware

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

The work on sprucing up our buildings is moving along quite nicely. We have completed tuck pointing the main building, work on the HVAC system is in progress and the Frame shop is being patch painted in preparation for a complete new paint job!

After a fresh paint job for both buildings, new signage will go up making it easier to figure out where to pick up your products.

And a brand new Axe head in in our future!

Customer Appreciation Day is a Huge Success!

Friday, June 12th, 2009

June 3 was the date of our first ever Customer Appreciation Day party and it was a hit!  For the first time, we held a cook out and get together at the Omaha location to give back to our loyal customers.  The day started around 11 with the first group and didn’t let up until well after the stated end time.  We had nearly 700 people show up and enjoy some food and fun with the employees of JHC.  There were vendors and lots of prizes for everybody that came and registered for the big Door Prizes.  By the end of the day, we had served over 600 brats and 700 hamburgers!

This was a tremendous success for JHC and it wouldn’t have been possible if not for all the had work put in by the CAD planning committee headed up by our own Melissa Rush.  Melissa and her team planned and executed the event with such precision that we really had little to worry about or adjust for on the day of the event.  Good job!

If you’d like to see some pictures from the event, go here

Look for this event again next year!  Can’t wait to see you all again!

New Hires at JHC! Planning for the Future.

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

The true test of any business is how it reacts to a shifting economic landscape. Here in the Midwest, we have not been hit as hard as other area’s but there has still been considerable loss of jobs.

At Johnson Hardware, we believe that every economic condition presents positive opportunities if you know where to look for them. We have made two strategic hirings to further expand our ability to provide the most cost effective and “user-friendly” solutions to our market place.

The first strategic move is hiring Greg Sauber into the Integrated Systems Division as Integrated Systems Sales Consultant. Greg will be working with A&E’s, Contractors and End users to provide them with CCTV, Access Control and Security solutions. Greg has over 17 years experience in the Security Industry has worked most recently at Adesta LLC as a Sales Engineer supporting enterprise level security systems. Greg’s deep background in Security systems and integration will allow him to provide complete solutions to any sized project.

The second strategic move was to hire Andy Gillespie as Outside Industrial Sales Consultant for the Lincoln area. Andy will be working with contractors to provide them with the entire line of Johnson Hardware products and solutions. Andy has been in the construction industry for over 19 years and is factory trained and certified.

By making these hires, Johnson Hardware is showing its commitment to the construction community and to providing the best trained and most professional people for our customers.

Join me in welcoming these two professionals to Johnson Hardware!

JHC Team Members Continue Charity Work

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

My last post was about the Habitat for Humanity donation that was made and how proud I was of our JHC Team Members.  As if that wasn’t enough, the JHC Team Members have taken the Siena Francis House under their wing for a coat drive.  Here are the details from our HR Department:

The Siena Francis House and  JHC Wellness Committee would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU for all of the donations brought in for the outerwear and clothing drive.

If you have never been by the Siena house, it is humbling to see how many people are in such greater need than we are. They genuinely need and value our help.

JHC Employees have a lot of HEART !!
