President’s Blog

My last post was about the Habitat for Humanity donation that was made and how proud I was of our JHC Team Members.  As if that wasn’t enough, the JHC Team Members have taken the Siena Francis House under their wing for a coat drive.  Here are the details from our HR Department:

The Siena Francis House and  JHC Wellness Committee would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU for all of the donations brought in for the outerwear and clothing drive. 

 

If you have never been by the Siena house, it is humbling to see how many people are in such greater need than we are. They genuinely need and value our help.

 

 JHC Employees have a lot of HEART !!

I’ve always felt that our employees were the best there are and they proved it again last week.  We really needed to clean out our warehouse of all the out of date and/or obsolete product.  At first we were just going to pitch them but then the employees came up with a better idea…giving the material to Habitat for Humanity!

Habitat for Humanity runs a store (the ReStore) where you can donate left over or slightly used building materials which they then use in new projects or sell to the public at reduced pricing!  What a wonderful concept!  Johnson Hardware has always been a part of this community since 1855 and this is just another example of the care that JHC Team members have for the Omaha community.

If you ever have any materials like this to move out of your warehouse, make sure to give Habitat for Humanity a call first!
